Convention 2024 will be all about growth. Growing your skills, growing your connections, growing your practice, growing ABC and growing the profession. An opportunity to advance your skills and knowledge to thrive in 2024 and beyond.

As an association, ABCA has seen growth in many areas such as industry engagement, research pipelines, online offerings and the skill level of our practitioners, but the most important thing to us has, and will always be the ABCA community members. Convention is a chance to celebrate each and every one of you, get to know each other better, and create a supportive network, not only within Australia and New Zealand, but globally. Anyone who’s been to an ABCA Convention will attest- it’s a vibe!

Heading back to Bali, where the very first ABCA Convention was held in 2015, we have such fond memories of it as one of the major stepping stones for ABCA, and for the growth we’ve had since. Each Convention that has followed, in Palm Cove, Singapore and Sanctuary Cove has reminded us of why we exist –  to bring together a community that enriches lives. 

We are looking forward to bringing the highest level of speakers, skill development and FUN times that have become synonymous with ABCA Conventions to Bali in 2024.

Set at the beautiful Rimba by Ayana Resort, in the Jimbaran region, approx. 12 km from Bali’s International Airport. This resort is often listed amongst Bali’s best, set on 90 hectares, boasting 14 pools and 26 restaurants and bars across 3 interconnected properties. Thursday – Full day combined Technical Skills and Advanced Theory Seminar (Prerequisite – Level 1 Certification)

Friday –      Half Day AM combined Technical Skills and Advanced Theory Seminar (Prerequisite – Level 1 Certification)

Afternoon free time to spend by the pool / exploring / with family and (new) friends.

Evening Convention Cocktail Launch, 5-7pm cocktail reception, 7-9pm Convention opening.

Saturday –  Full day Convention program

Victoria Te Rito has an inspiring, influential practice on the Hibiscus Coast in New Zealand which involves a team of 5 chiropractors and 3 assistants.

She practices with a certainty and connection for chiropractic that we should all be in awe of. Victoria has an in tune ability to draw out the spectacular in the people who are attracted to her thriving practice. Developing a love for ABC 6 years ago, she transformed her busy practice into an ABC setting, and now sits on the Board of ABCA, and is an ABC Instructor. Her passion and strive for growth have been remarkable.

Dr. Greg Venning is an agent of change. With a deep understanding of and a passion for personal growth and development, he brings an insightful perspective to his work that inspires others to take action and make a difference. Greg challenges the status quo and inspires others to realize their full potential.

Eric Chu is the Founder of New York Medical Group, and the co-owner & Chief Business Officer of EC Healthcare, a public listed and largest non-hospital company on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange. He graduated BSc from Queen’s University of Canada in 1998, and later attained the DC from New York Chiropractic College, memberships of the FRCC(UK), Faculty of Orthopaedics, Rehabilitation & Exercise of the Royal College of Chiropractors (RCC), and ICSSP Diploma.

As the chairman of Chiropractic Doctors Association of Hong Kong, he worked with World Health Organization and translated the WHO Guidelines on Basic Training and Safety in Chiropractic to Chinese. He published over 10 policy recommendations and research on chiropractic care for the Hong Kong society.

As a clinician of over 100 first-author studies, co-authors of 4 books, host of health programs for Metro Finance Radio, he is tabled as the most prolific author of case reports by Chiropractic & Manual Therapies journal. His case report was selected at the Editor’s Choice of BMJ Case Reports, and Case of the Year by Oxford Case Reports. In 2023, he received the David Chapmansmith Honor, the highest honor from World Federation of Chiropractic.

Vismai Schonfelder is the author of four books on chiropractic and specifically chiropractic business. He is currently in active practice in Singapore. He has a statistical outlier within the chiropractic profession with a PVA of above 2000. Increasing the lifetime value of your current clients is his mission with his thought leader coaching program aptly titled My Chiropractic Sweetspot. Together with his wife Jyoti they have 2 children Dali and Finn and live in Bali, Indonesia.

A unique special delivery is on its way from Croatia, via Boston, Massachusetts. Dr. Kenneth John Fuller has a message not to be missed. A 1993 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic, Davenport, Iowa, Ken will move your very being and touch your hearts with his high energy, focus of purpose, and passion. After nearly 31 years of constant practice serving to improve the lives of others, his geeky fun approach to Life still brings him back for more each and every day.

An ABC Convention in Prague, 2018, created a paradigm shift so powerful, causing Ken to go All-In on this ABC train by converting three locations from Gonstead/Diversified to ABC in ten days, and has never looked back. Although Dr. Fullers biggest thrill remains working side by side daily with his daughter and ABC Technician Vannessa Fuller, and lives and thrives whilst adjusting babies and puppies, technique will be the last thing on his mind during his rock star presentation.

Dr Beau Woods owns the largest group of chiropractic practices in Western Australia and the world’s largest group of ABC practices, with 8 practitioners across 8 locations. His hobby is research, having completed a Master’s in Public Health and so far having published 8 peer reviewed papers. He is an adjunct academic at ACC and is an ABC instructor since 2014. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce.

His presentation is sure to draw back the curtain, open the kimono or as some would say – go full mask off!

FAQs

Are payment plans available? Yes, a 6 month payment plan is available for full Convention Weekend registration, which includes both the Advanced Seminar, Convention, Friday night Cocktail opening and Saturday’s Gala Dinner.

Can I come for only part of the weekend? We know how beneficial and fun Convention is, so we recommend you attend the whole event if possible, but understand other commitments may limit your time, so an Advanced Seminar only registration option, and a Convention only registration option is available. Due to their reduced investment, these are not available on payment plan.

Is there an accommodation deal? Yes, we have negotiated ana amazing rate of $190 USD inc fees and taxes, and breakfast for 2 adults. This deal is available until 10 Nov, 2023 unless rooms sell out prior.

Are family welcome? Absolutely. The resort is a fabulous family destination with plenty for partners and children to do while you are in sessions. Kids club, water slides, day spa, shopping precinct, golf, beach, 14 pools and 26 bars and restaurants ought to keep them occupied! Please see the accommodation section above and email the reservations team after you’ve made your room booking if you need to add additional children.

Are partner tickets available for the Gala Dinner? Yes, these will be available for purchase online over the coming months.

Due to our contracted commitment to the venue, change of mind cancellations cannot be refunded. Should you be unable to attend due to reasons outside of your control a refund will be considered.  Accommodation is not included in registration, but an ABCA group rate has been secured including buffet breakfast, and will be advised as soon as the group code is activated. All prices are GST inclusive.
